Clean your motorcycle well, as it will be helpful to you and
the driver when inspecting the bikes condition before transport.

within our webpage. Be sure to tell the driver about it up front,
on pickup. |

Make sure that both your collection and delivery locations
for your motorcycle are vehicle and trailer accessible. |

The battery must be secure and the battery cables must be
protected from causing an electrical short. Fluids must not
be leaking. |

Know the weight of your motorcycle. |
| |
For general road transport the tank does not need to be drained,
preferably about 3/4 full.
For air, sea and rail transportation, all fuel and fluids need
to be drained and battery disconnected.
When the bike is being crated for road transport, consensus
is that the tank be drained of fuel. |

Make sure the steering is unlocked and remove the keys. It
is advised that you keep the keys if you are the person receiving
the bike at its destination or send the keys and/or paperwork
via Express Mail or similar. |

If possible, fold all motorcycle mirrors in towards the bike. |

Keep motorcycle forks unlocked. And always check for disc
locks before moving. |

Remove all loose items and empty saddle bags, glove boxes,
etc. These items will not be insured if they are included with
your motorcycle shipment. |

Choose a delivery location and time that allows someone to
be present during the arrival of your motorcycle or ATV. |

lf you believe that damage has occurred during the transportation
of your bike, photograph the damage as soon as possible before
moving or uncrating the bike further. |

Make sure the contact person(s) are available by phone during
business. Be sure that there are a couple of land line phone
numbers. Mobiles get flat battery’s and drop out of reception. |

Maintain an inventory sheet signed by the motorcycle carrier. |
